Max Parrish is a queer-gendered artist from California, receiving his BFA focused in functional ceramics and multimedia installation work from Cal Poly Humboldt in 2025. They have since travelled to Wales, the greater Boston area, and Detroit to advance their ceramic studies, visiting potters and assisting artists at the International Ceramics Festival in Aberystwyth, Wales.

 

Max has been participating in kiln builds, placing his work in featured and group shows, and most recently has been making functional works with sculptural and carved elements centered around depictions of colonialism and failings of the technological sublime in our modern age.
